Welcome to the new way of scraping the web. In the following guide, we will scrape BestBuy product pages, without writing any parsers, using one simple library: Scrapezone SDK. This SDK does all of the heavy lifting for us, so all we need to do is import it and start scraping. The library allows scraping most of the leading eCommerce sites, but to keep it specific we will use it to scrape Best Buy here. Specifically, we will get the title, description, price, and rating information. This data can be used in so many interesting scenarios, and if are building a software product that uses parsed data from eCommerce websites, this can save you thousands of dollars and months of development. The SDK will avoid anti-bot detections for you, use different IP addresses and user fingerprints, and scale the scrape you send over thousands of parallel workers - so the rate and amounts of data you can scrape are almost endless. What this code does is send an API request to Scrapezone and polling the results. For two product pages, the scraping time should be under 20 seconds, and for 1000 pages under 8 minutes. In this code, we use a BestBuy scraper, but you can use any of the official Scrapezone Scrapers, documented . here The code is very basic. The SDK receives an object with 2 parameters: scraper_name, and query. The scraper name specifies which scraper will be used, and the query is a list of URLs to scrape. The SDK is limited to 1,000 URLs in one query, so in case you need to scrape more URLs, it is possible to split the request into multiple chunks and send them in parallel. Nvidia has become successful. So successful, in fact, that it does not care about alienating an entire demographic that was core to its success. This was underscored at the recent Computex event in Taiwan where the CEOs of three most prominent silicon companies (Nvidia's included) took to the stage to discuss new products and their future road map. And if you're a gamer, boy, was it depressing. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's two-hour long presentation was only artificial intelligence focused, to the point that it got boring and irked many who were hoping to learn more about the company's gaming-focused hardware. As TechRadar's John Loeffler put it, Huang dismissed the very same GeForce graphic cards that put the company on the map all those decades ago. This was corroborated by Hardware Unboxed's Steve Walton, who described the keynote address' overall vibe as one where Nvidia wanted to distance itself from the "silliness of gaming" and be taken seriously as a data-center type company instead. So why the shift? Nvidia's most recent quarterly results showed that the data center segment, which sells the hardware powering the world's generative AI tools, made roughly nine times more money than the gaming division ($22.6 billion vs. $2.6 billion). In fact, the data center segment contributed 86% towards the company's record revenue ($26.04 billion) this past quarter, compared to a measly 10% by the gaming segment. So Huang's just doubling down on what's working for the business. What's quite bothersome is that because Nvidia is the market leader,  Intel and AMD have no choice but to follow the trends set by Team Green — so of course, both companies also spent a considerable amount of time talking about their plans for profiting off of that sweet, sweet AI pie. But not without whetting the appetites of eager gamers with some product announcements. Despite holding next to no market share in the GPU market, Intel isn't giving up on the hardware that powers video games and AI workloads. After weeks of leaks and speculation, the company finally gave its first glimpse of the architecture that would power its next generation of graphic cards. Codenamed Battlemage, the upcoming graphic cards are designed to be more efficient than the earlier Alchemist variants, which, "if realized, [..] would rectify a major usability shortcoming of Alchemist," GamersNexus wrote in a blog post. For those that did not follow Intel's attempts at creating discrete GPUs, the Alchemist cards were plagued with driver issues that made them a hard sell for reviewers. The only reason the likes of Linus Tech Tips recommended the card was to encourage competition in the space. The Alchemist cards fare much better today than when they launched — thanks to driver-side improvements from Intel — but are still a hard sell. Which brings us to AMD. Team Red is the underdog in both the GPU and CPU markets, losing out to Nvidia on graphic cards, and Intel on central processors (though that seems to be changing). Competing on both fronts is obviously not easy (or cheap!), but the company has seen a massive turn around under the leadership of Lisa Su — going from holding 1.4% of the CPU market share in 2017 to a respectable 23.6% at the end of 2022. The company also holds 12% of the GPU market, which might not sound like a lot, but does offer a bit of competition to Nvidia which dominates the market. So, what is Team Red doing to be more of a contender in the market? For starters, the company announced its next line of processors at Computex. The AMD Ryzen 9000-series chips are supposedly going to be 15% faster than their predecessors, but we'll have to wait for the reviews to roll in to know for sure (15% doesn't really sound like a lot, if I'm being honest). Not a lot on GPUs though; the company's 7-series cards were pretty 'meh', and with Nvidia not actually offering any details on the 50-series cards, AMD probably didn't feel the need to share any details on what to expect next. Apart from these three companies, there was a lot of chatter about Qualcomm, the maker of Snapdragon chips that power mobile devices. Apparently, the company expects its processors to power roughly 50% of Windows PC devices within the next five years. That's a bold claim, but has a lot to do with a recent Microsoft announcement about a new class of Windows computers designed just for AI: Copilot+ PCs. Those PCs will be powered using Qualcomm's Snapdragon X processors, which is supposedly designed to handle AI workflows, and is thus better at it. Anyway, that was your Computex recap. On or about August 6, 2019, Baugh, Gilbert, Cooke, and Popp met at eBay headquarters to plan the White Knight Strategy. b. On or about August 6, 2019, Baugh, Popp, Stockwell, Zea, and other members of the GIC met at eBay headqua1ters to plan the delivery to the Steiners' home of unwanted and disturbing items to distract the Steiners from publishing the Newsletter. c. On or about August 6, 2019, Stockwell purchased a laptop computer at a Best Buy store in San Jose, California for use in the harassment and intimidation campaign. d. On or about August 6, 2019, Popp created a Twitter account in the name of "@Tui_ Elei" that used a picture of a skeleton mask as a profile picture. e. On or about August 7, 2019, Popp sent the following DMs from the @Tui_Elei Twitter account to Ina Steiner's Twitter account: • "[Ina Steiner's First Name] ...whats your problem w/ebay? You know that's how we pay rent." • "HELLO!!!!!!! g. On or about August 9, 2019, Popp sent the following DMs from the@Tui_Elei Twitter account to Ina Steiner's Twitter account: • "WTF ...whats it goin to take for u to answer me??" • "I guess im goin to have to get ur attention another way bitch ..." • "U don't have the balls to talk to me?? Stop hiding behind ur computer screen u fuckin cunt!!!" h. On or about August 9, 2019, Stockwell used an anonymous email account to order live spiders and fly larvae for delivery to the Steiners' home. i. On or about August 9, 2019, one or more of the individual Defendants ordered a subscription for pornographic magazines in the name of David Steiner to be sent to the Steiners' neighbors. J. On or about August 9, 2019, one or more of the Individual Defendants attempted to order a pig fetus for delivery to the Steiners' home. k. On or about August 10, 2019, one or more of the Individual Defendants ordered a Halloween Pig Mask for delivery to the Steiners' home. I. On or about August 10, 2019, Popp sent the following DM from the@Tui_Elei Twitter account to Ina Steiner's Twitter account: • "DO I HAVE UR ATTENTION NOW????" m. On or about August 10, 2019, Popp sent the following DMs from the @Tui_Elei Twitter account to Ina Steiner's Twitter account: • "Ur fat fuck pussy husband [David Steiner's first name] needs to put u in Iine cunt." • "after he takes the plugs out of his asshole ...fuckin pussies!!!" n. On or about August 11, 2019, Baugh directed Harville to travel with him to Boston for an "op" targeting Ina Steiner and her website (i.e., EcommerceBytes). o. On or about August 11, 2019, Baugh sent Harville the following text message: "I won't send the bosses texts, but I've been ordered to find and destroy." Harville replied, "Copy. Totally black[.] I'm deleting this now." p. On or about August 12, 2019, Baugh sent Popp, Stockwell, Zea, and other GIC analysts the following WhatsApp message: "Starting now through Tuesday night double our effort on everything. Spam, house deliveries, etc. I don't want anything delivered on Thursday, so the cutoff should be Wednesday night - wake them up with a limo driver or something and then everything goes cold Thursday morning.... Take down all Craigslist posts late Wednesday night. Stop spam late Wednesday night, etc." q. On or about August 12, 2019, one or more of the Individual Defendants sent a book titled "Grief Diaries: Surviving Loss of a Spouse" to the Steiners' home. r. On or about August 12, 2019, Popp used the @Tui_Elei Twitter account to post publicly to Ina Steiner's Twitter account: "[Ina Steiner] ...wats ur problem with ebay??" s. On or about August 12, 2019, Popp used the @Tui_Elei Twitter account to post publicly to Ina Steiner's Twitter account: "many familys including mine make money 2 pay 4 food cloths and rent by selling on ebay...UR stupid idkiot comments r pushin buyers away from ebay and hurtin familys! ! ! STOP IT NOW!!" t. On or about August 13, 2019, one or more of the Individual Defendants used a prepaid debit card to order a funeral wreath for delivery to the Steiners' home. u. On or about August 14, 2019, one or more of the Individual Defendants ordered live cockroaches for delivery to the Steiners' home. v. On or about August 14, 2019, Popp used the @Tui_Elei Twitter account to post a public message to Ina Steiner's Twitter account: "[First name of Ina Steiner] wen u hutt our bizness u huit our familiys ...Pp! will do ANYTHING 2 protect family!!!!" w. On or about August 14, 2019, Baugh, Harville, Zea, Gilbert, and Popp met to discuss a trip to Natick, Massachusetts to install a GPS tracking device on the Steiners' car and to surveil the Steiners. At the meeting, Baugh instructed Zea to stop harassing deliveries that would interfere with the surveillance operation. x. On or about August 14, 2019, Zea attempted to register herself and Harville for a software development conference in Boston as false cover for the surveillance trip. y. On or about August 15, 2019, Harville used his eBay-issued phone to visit a website that could be used to monitor the "Natick Police and Fire Live Audio Feed." z. On or about August 15, 2019, Baugh, Harville, and Zea flew from California to Boston, Massachusetts. aa. On or about August 15, 2019, Stockwell sent a text message to Harville providing the license plate numbers for the Steiners' cars. bb. On or about August 15, 2019, Baugh, Harvi Ile, and Zea drove to the Steiners' home in Natick and attempted unsuccessfully to install a GPS tracking device on the Steiners' car, which was locked in the Steiners' garage. cc. On or about August 15, 2019, Baugh, Harville, Popp, and Zea dialed in to a conference line to communicate during the surveillance operation and to monitor the NPD dispatch. dd. For $199.99 per year, you can purchase , a 24/7 unlimited technology support service. This service can save you a lot of money if you constantly have problems with your computer or devices. Geek Squad’s Total Tech Support Unfortunately, this money-saving service is attracting a lot of scammers. These scams are working on victims of all ages, and people are getting tired of it. The scam involves tricking people into thinking that Geek Squad took money out of their accounts. How the Geek Squad Scam Works The Geek Squad email scam centers around renewing their unlimited tech service. There are different versions of this scam, but they’ll usually look something like this: The victim receives an email from the “Geek Squad” claiming that their subscription will be renewed automatically. The price for the renewal is around $400, which is twice the amount it should be. A link or a phone number is provided at the end of the email, with an urgent message to click or call if there are any problems with the price. If the victim clicks the link, malicious malware is downloaded to their computer, with the goal of stealing their identity/sensitive information. I won’t cover every typo in this email, as we’ll be here all day. Instead, here are the big red flags you’ll come across often: The email should say it’s from Geek Squad itself, not a random person. \ Not only does this email not address the recipient of the email, but “ ” is just plain weird. This email is not from a native English speaker. Hey True Self This one is a little different from a basic typo. Grammar issues are usually a red flag, as professional companies hire professional copywriters to produce these emails. In this case, “ ” and “ should be capitalized. A mistake even the worst copywriter would catch. thanks since” Here’s one that’s easy to miss. The format of this date is correct in some places in the world, but in America and other countries, the month should come before the day. If there’s a date on the email, make sure it’s in the format of your country. Geek Squad Renewal Scam Example #3 Here’s the toughest example in the bunch. Not only does this email look professional, but the text itself is almost impeccable compared to other fake emails. Still, the red flags are blaring. The chances of a real company charging you without adequate warning are very low. Also, the grammar ￼in this first line is a little off. Plus, the word “ ” is used twice in the same sentence, which is not the best writing. today Here’s that sense of urgency again. If this email were real, you would get more than 24 hours. \ This is probably the most prominent typo in the email. This sentence needs a few more words to make it more cohesive. The fake phone number is in red, which is supposed to grab your attention, but a real company is unlikely to try something so amateur.￼ The service is called . Total Tech Support At the end of the email, there’s a call to action for the reader to call the number again. This is a desperate attempt to add more urgency. It’s sad, really.
